Terms and Conditions

Deposit
            The artist will require a 25% deposit to be paid upon booking in order to secure the client’s chosen date and time. This date and time will be secured upon clearing of the cheque.
            Please make cheques crossed and payable to Rebekah Shambrook and include the client’s name and address on reverse of cheque. Do not mail cash.
            The deposit is refundable upon cancellation up to 2 weeks in advance.

Cancellation Policy
            Should the client decide to cancel their event for any reason (except in unforeseen circumstances which include but are not limited to: death or illness), a notice must be given to the artist at least 2 weeks in advance. It is very difficult for the artist to fill a cancelled time slot on short notice. Any monies already paid toward the event will be refunded. Cancellation between 2 weeks and 48 hours will result in loss of deposit only. Any notice later than 48 hours in advance will result in the client accepting to pay a cancellation fee of 50% (inclusive of the 25% deposit) of the total time booked unless in unforeseen circumstances.
            Should the artist become ill, the 25% deposit will be refunded and every effort will be made to find a replacement.

Payment
            Payment in full will be required at the beginning of the event in cash. Any overtime will be requested after the event.

Arrival
            The artist will arrive 15-20 minutes before the agreed start time to set up equipment.

Extra Fees
            Overtime:
Any time beyond the time booked will be charged at the normal rate to the nearest 15 minutes.
Travel Costs:
If venue is over 20 miles away, an additional £0.50 per mile travel cost will be incurred.

Breaks
            For events over four hours, the artist will require a paid 5-10 minute break every two hours.

Parking
            Please ensure that there is sufficient parking for the artist to use. The client will reimburse the artist for any parking fees.



Weather
            If the event is taking place outdoors the artist will provide her own shelter. This will need to be set up on level ground and is 2.7 x 2.7m. No refunds will be made for events with extreme weather (ie. High winds, rain, lightning, snow, extreme heat/cold)

Limitations on Artwork
            The artist will not paint any part of the body that is not legal to expose or that the artist does not feel comfortable painting. The artist will not paint any design or wording that is obscene, offensive or in bad taste. The artist reserves the right to refuse to paint any design.

Extreme Adverse Working Conditions
            The artist has the right to cease painting and leave without refunding any monies if there are extreme adverse working conditions that the client fails to remedy after it has been brought to the client’s attention.
            Adverse conditions include, but are not limited to: destructive, violent or extreme inappropriate behaviour of a child, adult or animal, illegal activities or dangerous conditions.

Supervision of Children
            The artist is not responsible for the behaviour and overall safety of children at the event. The artist cannot see other children and what they are doing whilst painting. Do not allow children to touch the artist’s equipment.

Photography
            Please be aware that the artist, or the artist’s assistant may wish to take photographs of the event. These photographs will not be used publicly unless a Model Release Form has been completed by the model (if the model is under 18 years of age, a parent or guardian’s signature will be required.)

Liability Statement
            While the artist uses only FDA compliant cosmetics and products designed for the skin, the artist is not liable for allergic reactions caused by the artist’s equipment. Anyone with skin allergies should read the ingredients list available upon request, and ask the artist to perform a patch test at the beginning of the event, if in doubt do not participate.
            For safety reasons, the artist will not paint children that are crying, or do not wish to be painted. This includes young children who turn their heads away when painting is attempted.
            Upon request, consent forms can be provided for event holder to distribute to parents of guests. If consent forms are not required or completed liability lies with the event holder in the event of allergy or other adverse reactions.
            For sanitary reasons, the artist will not paint anyone who is, or appears to be suffering from; cold sores, conjunctivitis, any infectious skin condition, eczema or open wounds.
            The artist will use reasonable care, but is not responsible for damage to clothing or property. The client agrees to pay for any accidents or injuries caused by pets or guests and/or any damage to the artist’s equipment or supplies caused by pets or guests.
